| 6. | Kenneth Monroe was born on 11 Oct 1832 in , , Ross and Cromarty, Scotland (son of Thomas Munro and Margaret McKay); died on 12 Feb 1921 in Nevada, Vernon Co., Missouri, USA; was buried in Deepwood Cem.. Notes:
Kenneth was born in Ross-shire, Scotland. He and Isabella were married there in 1857 and emigrated to the USA in the same year, where they settled in Elmira, New York. In 1860, they moved to Cooper County, Missouri.
During the Civil War, Kenneth served in the Confederate Army in "Jackman Brigade of Shelby's Division."
In 1867, he moved to Vernon County and bought a large tract of land near Bronaugh, where he lived until about 1910. Then he moved to Nevada, Missouri. He had many friends there and was active in Democratic politics.
He died of Bright's Disease at his home in Nevada, Missouri at 4:05 p.m. on 12 Feb 1921. He had been confined to his bed for only seven days.
Ref. (2) says he died on 12 Feb 1921 and ref. (3) says Feb 1926. It is thought that the former is correct.

Isabella was the daughter of Alexander and Leslie (Mckenzie) McArthur. She and Kenneth were married in Scotland and immediately emigrated to the USA.
In 1867, she and Kenneth settled on a farm near Bronaugh, Vernon County, Missouri.
Isabella (ref. (2) says Isabel) was a life-long member of the Methodist Church South and a sincere Christian woman who made many friends.
She died of old age at 11:10 a.m. on 20 Dec 1926, at the home of her daughter, Maggie.
