  1. 1.  Alexander Aylmer Monro, of Pitlundie & Bearcrofts was born on 11 Apr 1829 in Lyme Regis, , Dorset, England (son of Henry Harvey Monro, of Pitlundie & Bearcrofts and Rose Mary Hemming); died on 10 Jan 1907 in Starcross, , Devonshire, England.

    Notes:

Error alert: R.W. Munro says Alexander was married in 1893 which would be at the age of 64 but he had children born in 1856 and 1857. This is possible, of course, but quite unlikely.

XI. ALEXANDER AYLMER MONRO. Of Alexander and his brother we have been unable to learn anything except that they were both engaged in business in the neighbourhood of Birmingham about twenty years ago.
