    Notes:

    John studied at the University of Aberdeen where he received his M.A. degree on 3 Jul 1679. It is said that he intruded into the Church of Reay in that year, but whether he did or not, he was received into Communion by the Edinburgh Committee before 6 Jun 1704 and admitted as the minister of Reay as his father's successor in 1704.

    Notes:

    David studied at St. Andrews University and was appointed as a colleague and then successor to his father as the minister of Reay. He was admitted to the parish of Reay before 6 Aug 1656.

    He received the land of Tubeg from his parents in 1665.

    A memorial tablet was built into the wall of the old Church in Reay. It was two feet long and twenty inches wide showing the date, 1691 and the letters "D.M." and "M.M.", his initials and those of his wife. The last sentence on the tablet read, "This ile belongs to Mr David Munro and Margaret Munro."

    Notes:

    Jon studied at St. Andrews University and received his M.A. degree there in 1619. He was appointed to the parish of Reay in 1623, and later of Farr. In 1649, he was deposed along with most of the other members of the Presbytery of Caithness for "compliance" with Montrose.

    John petioned the Synod on 6 Aug 1656, "to get his mouth open that he might assist his son in preaching." He was restored to his charge.

    He owned land of Tubeg but transferred that property to his son, David, in 1665.

    Ref. (2) says Robert was the son of Hector Munro of Findon [10562]. Ref. (3) says Robert was the son of Andrew [35724] and Hector's grandson. It is not known which version is correct.
