Violet was educated in Nova Scotia and lived in Norton Massachusetts for 51 years. While in Norton, she was the head of the lunch department for the Norton School department from 1966-1976. She was a member of the Trintarian Congregational Church in Norton and a former member of the Norton What-So-Ever Club.
She died at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
