    Ref (2) says that Electa Smith was the mother of David's children, but the date of his marriage to Mary Hill and the birthdates of the children suggest that Mary Hill was their mother as ref (1) claims.

    David carried on the balance of the home farm inherited from his father and lived in the original Munro house until the 1860's when he built a house on the lot next west, later remodeled into the Green Gate Inn.

    He and his brother, James Madison Munro, were instrumental in establishing the Free Soil Republican Party in Camillus in 1852.
