    Notes:

    David was a "flesher". He married the daughter of John and Eupheme (Hodge) Howat. In the 1850's, he and his family moved to Glasgow.

    An earlier reference (James Munro descendants) says David was born in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland, but later information (Ian Lawson letter) is probably more accurate.
