    History & Graphical Gazateer of Montreal 1892: Born 14 Sept 1811 Peter, son of Dr. Henry Munro (Lic. 17 Apr 1795) served with Northwest Fur Company and Hotel Dieu several years. At Grand Portage 1796-1805 and Pic (Lake Superior) 1805-1812. Champlain Society 1934 pg. 488.

    Henry obtained his license as a physician in 1795 and spent many years with the Northwest Fur Co. (See letters from William Johnson Munro to his brothers Henry and John jr., and Father John Munro.) He owned several lots of land in the Matilda area and helped to finance the Mills and family farm there. He also lived at Montreal after 1812 and was a physician at the Hotel Dieu established by the Gray Nuns. His final home was at the Boucherville Estates, family home of the Serindac Family.
